Install

Search ShipStatic in the Extensions view, or use Quick Open (Cmd+P / Ctrl+P):

ext install shipstatic.shipstatic

Requires VS Code 1.101 or later.

Ask your AI

The extension registers the ShipStatic MCP server as a VS Code MCP provider, so agent mode gets all fifteen tools: deploying, listing, labels, deletion, and the whole custom-domain workflow.

Ask your assistant to deploy the folder you are working in. Without an account the site is public and expires in 3 days, and the reply carries a claim URL to keep it permanently.

The command palette

  • ShipStatic: Deploy publishes a folder
  • ShipStatic: Deploy with Password publishes it privately (6 to 128 characters)
  • ShipStatic: Account Info shows who is signed in
  • ShipStatic: Set Token stores your API key in VS Code SecretStorage

Get a free API key and run ShipStatic: Set Token. Deployments then land in your account and never expire, and the domain tools unlock. The one slot takes either credential population: a ship- API key or a deploy- deploy token.
